The Brexit FactBase story

The Brexit
FactBase story

I created Brexit FactBase to provide up-to-date Brexit facts without political spin. Even though Britain left the EU on 31 January 2020, misinformation on Brexit-related issues is still common.

The website organises Brexit facts under 15 topic headings from ‘What is the EU?’ to ‘No deal/end of transition’ and ‘What happens next?’ Each topic has a bullet-point summary of key Brexit facts – click to download the overall summary.

To maintain objectivity and independence, I meet the costs of running the website out of my own pocket. For free access to the full content, please register (just name and email).

The website went live in early 2018 but had its origins in 2016. Before the referendum vote, a friend and I gave an extensive presentation to our friends and neighbours. That original material became the start point for the website (and my WordPress journey!).

Since then, I have written several Brexit briefing papers (often helped by well-known experts). Please scroll down to the Contents map for the full coverage. of Brexit FactBase and for briefing papers.
