The Brexit FactBase story

The Brexit
FactBase story

Brexit FactBase gives you free access to an awesome resource of Brexit facts. It is a healthy antidote to the misinformation on Brexit issues that persists, even several years after the referendum.

The website organises comprehensive Brexit facts all the way from ‘What is the EU?’ through to the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement. There are 17 topic headings each with a bullet-point summary of Brexit facts (see menu).

To maintain objectivity and independence, I meet the costs of running the website out of my own pocket.

Brexit FactBase has its origins before the referendum, when a friend and I presented on Brexit to our friends and neighbours. Our PowerPoint slides were the seed for the website – and my WordPress journey! Please scroll down to the Contents map for the full coverage.

In addition, I have written several articles and briefing papers (often helped by well-known experts) – see publications. My most recent pieces argue that Trump’s embrace of Putin pushes the UK and EU closer (March 2025). A shared need for stronger, sustained economic growth makes a compelling case for radically resetting the trading relationship.

Kind regards
