The Brexit FactBase story

The Brexit
FactBase story

I created Brexit FactBase to provide up-to-date Brexit facts without political spin.

Even though Britain left the EU on 31 January 2020, misinformation on Brexit-related issues is still common – more than four years after the referendum.

The website organises Brexit facts under 15 topic headings, which range from ‘What is the EU?’ through ‘Trade’ and ‘Immigration’ to ‘What happens next?’ Please scroll down to the Contents map for the full coverage.

To maintain objectivity and independence, I meet the costs of running and updating the website out of my own pocket. For free access to the full website, please register (just name and email).

In 2016, before the referendum vote, it was hard to find unbiased Brexit facts and figures. To help fill the gap, a friend and I gave an extensive presentation to our friends and neighbours. That material became the initial content for the website, which went live in early 2018.

Since then, I have written several Brexit briefing papers (often helped by well-known experts). Scroll down for briefing papers and a summary of Brexit facts.

Please contact me if you have suggestions for improvements or ideas for new information.

Kind regards
