To help you find what you want, the website organises comprehensive Brexit facts from What is the EU? through to Current opinions of Brexit with links to extensive, expert sources. Please see the Introduction for an overview.

To maintain objectivity and independence, I meet the costs of running the website out of my own pocket.

The site had its origins in pre-referendum presentation material. To celebrate the site’s eighth birthday, I gave it a major refresh and update at the beginning of 2026.

In late September 2026, the Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, reopened the debate on what the UK’s relationship with the EU should be.

Whatever your view on the future of that relationship, Brexit FactBase aims to contribute to an informed debate.
